If you have a passion to serve Jesus Christ and to reach children in your community, then we have a place for you!

We will train you and equip you with everything you need – Free of Charge. There is a mission field right in your backyard on the school campuses of your local elementary and middle schools, and we want to equip you with the skills and resources you need to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the children and families in your community.

Host, Help, or Teach a Good News Club® or a JYC Club® near you

You are needed to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children in our local communities during the school year! Volunteers and hosts are needed now throughout South Orange County to serve Christ and our community through after-school and community-based Good News Clubs® and JYC Clubs®, in elementary and middle schools, community centers or parks.

Ways to Get Started Volunteering with Child Evangelism Fellowship

 If you feel God is speaking to you and leading you to partner with us in this ministry, here’s how to start:

  1. Pray about how you might become involved.

  2. Contact our office and speak with Sue Olson, our Director.

  3. Attend a one-time Good News Club/JYC Club Basic Training session (see Events for upcoming dates and times).

  4. Read and complete the following items by clicking on the links below:

    1. Attend Mandatory Basic Training - Good News Club Volunteers (see Training and Events)

    2. CEF Child Protection Policy Video - Watch Online or Listen on phone

    3. CEF Volunteer Background Check - Complete Online (Cannot be completed on a cellphone or tablet.)

    4. CEF Statement of Faith- Read and Sign

    5. Complete Volunteer Questionnaire Form - Print Out Questionnaire from Volunteer Portal, complete and give to CEF ministry staff during personal interview.

    6. Worker’s Compliance Form – Read, agree, print out, complete and return to CEF office address listed on form; OR Complete Online. (This form is required each year.)

    7. Fingerprinting - All volunteers must be fingerprinted by Child Evangelism Fellowship, even if already fingerprinted by another ministry or organization. There is no cost to a you and it only needs to be done one time.(Contact office for details and locations.)

    8. A Personal Interview by CEF Chapter Director or Staff is the last step which may be done at a one-on-one meeting, or via Zoom. Please be prepared to show a valid Government ID and have your picture taken for your GNC/JYC Badge.

    9. Volunteer Requirements for Minors (17 and under) - Call our office for more information at (949) 614-3152.
